Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Sidekick website and Sidekick Mac application. By downloading, installing or using Sidekick, you agree to them.

1. Who can use Sidekick

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Sidekick on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Sidekick on Macs you own or control, subject to these terms and any applicable Setapp terms.

3. Sidekick and AI

Sidekick performs actions at your instruction. AI-generated results may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your purpose. You should review important output and maintain backups of important data.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Sidekick to break the law, infringe others' rights, access systems or data without authorisation, distribute malware or spam, harm others, or disrupt our services.

5. Setapp and third-party services

When Sidekick is obtained through Setapp, access, licensing, billing and related matters may also be governed by Setapp's applicable terms. Sidekick may rely on third-party AI providers and infrastructure whose availability and terms can affect functionality.

6. Intellectual property

The Sidekick application, website, name, logo and associated materials are owned by us or our licensors. These terms grant permission to use Sidekick; they do not transfer ownership.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Sidekick reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may be updated, changed or discontinued.

8. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Sidekick is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI output or automated actions will always be accurate or suitable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sidekick and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Termination

You may stop using Sidekick at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where necessary to protect Sidekick or its users.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as Sidekick evolves. The latest version will be published on this page.
